Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of FosterHub, a software platform for animal rescue organizations, admins, and foster volunteers. By creating an account, accessing the service, or using FosterHub, you agree to these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By using FosterHub, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use FosterHub on behalf of a rescue organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

Description of Service

FosterHub provides web-based tools that help rescue organizations coordinate foster programs, manage animal profiles, receive foster updates, handle requests, maintain resources and FAQs, schedule events, and communicate with admins and foster volunteers. FosterHub is software only. FosterHub does not provide veterinary, legal, rescue, adoption, placement, animal behavior, animal health, transportation, emergency, or professional services.

FosterHub is a coordination tool and does not guarantee foster placement, adoption outcomes, rescue success, volunteer availability, animal behavior, animal health, SMS delivery, emergency notification delivery, or any specific operational result.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you enter into FosterHub, your interactions with other users, and your compliance with applicable laws, rescue policies, animal welfare requirements, and privacy obligations. Users must provide accurate information, keep records reasonably current, and use the platform in a professional and lawful manner.

FosterHub is not responsible for decisions made by rescue organizations, admins, fosters, adopters, volunteers, or other users. Each organization remains solely responsible for animal care, foster and adopter screening, medical decisions, placements, adoptions, emergency response, rescue operations, approvals, communications, and compliance with all applicable laws and policies.

Animal Liability Disclaimer

Animals can be unpredictable, and animal care decisions may involve risk. FosterHub is not responsible for animal behavior, animal health, bites, scratches, injuries, property damage, disease transmission, escape, loss, death, medical outcomes, foster or adopter conduct, placement decisions, adoption decisions, emergency response, or any other animal-related incident. Organizations and users are responsible for evaluating animals, people, homes, medical needs, safety risks, and emergency situations outside of FosterHub.

Account Terms

You must keep your account credentials secure and notify FosterHub or your organization if you believe your account has been compromised. You may not share your login credentials, impersonate another person, or access an organization workspace without authorization. Organizations are responsible for managing user access, roles, approvals, and permissions within their workspace.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse FosterHub. Prohibited activity includes illegal activity, harassment, abuse, threats, spam, unauthorized access, attempts to disrupt or reverse engineer the service, uploading harmful code, violating another person's privacy, entering false or misleading information, or using FosterHub in a way that could harm animals, people, rescue organizations, FosterHub, or third-party systems.

Intellectual Property

FosterHub and its software, design, branding, content, features, and related materials are owned by FosterHub or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from FosterHub without permission.

You retain ownership of the organization, animal, user, and communication content you submit to FosterHub. You grant FosterHub a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, and use that content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

Termination of Accounts

FosterHub may suspend or terminate access if we believe a user or organization has violated these Terms, created security risk, misused the service, failed to pay applicable future fees, or used FosterHub in a way that may cause harm. Organizations may also remove or deactivate users according to their internal policies.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FosterHub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, rescue outcomes, foster or adoption outcomes, animal placement decisions, user conduct, animal-related incidents, injuries, damages, property damage, medical expenses, emergency outcomes, SMS delivery failures, emergency notification failures, service interruptions, or third-party actions. FosterHub's total liability for any claim will be limited to the amount paid to FosterHub for the service during the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars if no amount was paid.

Disclaimer of Warranties

FosterHub is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or meet every organization's needs. We do not make warranties about outcomes, placement success, adoption success, animal behavior, animal health, message or SMS delivery, emergency notification delivery, data accuracy entered by users, or decisions made through the platform.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be handled in courts located in Ohio unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice through FosterHub or by email. Continued use of FosterHub after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
